Hey

Postby SGreene_700 » Sat Nov 29, 2008 6:44 am

Hey thanks Bill, I appreciate the encouragement. Hey Bill I have a couple of questions. I've had my head up my a$$ with work the past couple of months.

1) Is Kenny's meet (Nationals?) now in Iowa no longer in the Mecca (Columbus?)

2) And your big bench meet is now in July correct? And do I get credit for that meet since I paid for last year's one?

I say that cause I prolly wont do a bigger meet like Nationals in April (cuz I wont be ready) but I do have a plane ticket I could/would sell cheaply to someone outta state that wants to do that meet. But I definately would like to do the July meet and will schedule vacation around it. You and Kenny run the best meets period.

1 - Kenny and I are running UPA Nationals here in Dubuque in April. You can get all the info at www.upa-iowa.com home page. The entry form is on there. Kenny is running a bench meet March 14 in Columbus. The entry form will be up soon. Kenny has the paypal entry form up on the www.unitedpowerliftingassociation.com

2 - Yes, correct.

Thank you. I try to put on the best meets around. :cup:

Hey Steve-- I am going out in July as well. I wont be able to do any meets in the spring because of getting the shoulder scoped. I plan on doing 2 meets in the summer and 2 meets in the fall. We need to see if Bencher8 is going to Iowa also.

1/20

Well havent posted in awhile but not a lot to report . I'm still training been working up to 405 for 3-4 reps by myself. Last week I did incline dumbells went like this:

20x20
40x20
60x20
80x20
105x20
120x15
105x20
80x20
60x20
40x20
20x20 ghey I know but just mixin it up and I was toast by the end.

green band rows
4 sets

cuff work

band pushdowns
8 sets

cant remember what else. I shirted up the week before that @ the Powerstation just to a 3brd in my single ply Katana. I did:

405x3
455x3
495x3

It felt good of course it was juss a 3brd but its the first I've been in the shirt since the break. My goal is to do either Kennys and or Ironhouse and open with 550 and maybe 600 on a second for my first meet back. Hopefully thats not to ambitious since I'm goin single ply (shirts loose too). I weigh 250 now and plan on gettin down to 240-245 I wanna be kinda meet ready whenever and no cut,no stress,no pressure, just have fun. My expectations are low for this year, I just wanna be healthier and no more injuries. Speaking of last week went to the doctor for an annual checkup and my BP was 116/70 (the best reading I've prolly had since HS ..lol) everything else was good BUT I have a small umbilical hernia above the naval which I intend on getting fix after summer. it doesnt cause much discomfort and as long as it doesnt get worse I can delay the patchwork but I will get it fixed this year. He said some people live with hernias for years and years depening largely on their severity.
